Most Expensive Diamond Wedding Cake

The $1.65 million diamond cake, we told you about last Christmas, takes a backseat with the $20 million wedding cake that has made its debut in Beverly Hills. The diamond cake is the most expensive diamond wedding cake ever and is created by Mimi So Jewellers and cake designer Nahid La Patisserie Artistique. The edible opulence is the star attraction of the Luxury Brands Bridal Show held at Rodeo Drive. The confection includes diamonds that are priceless in value and exclusive in application and the design is created expressly for this occasion. So, if by any chance, you have still not made-it-out, then let me tell you folks, this luxurious cake is not meant for eating. Update: Dig in the real picture of the $20 million wedding cake.

World's most expensive diamond

The only jewelry news that could steal the spotlight from Prince William giving Kate his mother's sapphire engagement ring is this little tidbit:

An extremely rare pink diamond just smashed the price record for most expensive diamond (and piece of jewelry) sold at auction - in the world!

Sotheby's placed early price estimates in the high $20 million range, but one megarich diamond collector paid nearly double that paltry sum - a whopping $46.16 million!

And that's not the half of it. This fellow, Laurence Graff, already owns the Wittelsbach-Graff diamond which used to hold the title of most expensive stone in the world at $24.3 million. That is until this flawless 24.78-carat piece of pink perfection went under the hammer.

Call me crazy, but how can the entire state of California be nearly bankrupt and this dude have enough in the coffers to buy flawless diamonds in his spare time?

That said, I find it interesting that Laurence Graff is a self-made gazillionaire - a 14-year-old dropout from the mean streets of London. So I suppose this Charles Dickens tale of rags to riches has the kind of happy ending any self-proclaimed jewelry hound would find hard to resist.

Most expensive laptop ever, 24k gold and diamond macbook

This is the most expensive laptop in the world, fitted with 25.5 carats of flawless diamonds. A total of 53 diamants individually set in a solid 24ct gold apple logo.
The whole housing is made of highly polished solid 24ct gold. Weighing about 2600 grams this is certainly not the most portable macbook ever, but you have to be a little light in the head if you are willing to spend the stunning amount of 219,995.00 British pounds (about $339,826.00)
The so called “piece of art” is available in a limited edition of 10 only, so if you feel the need and have the purchasing power: be quick.

World’s Most Expensive Car Wash

If you own a $2 million-plus supercar, chances are you want to keep it in top condition both inside and out. Of course, no ordinary car wash can be trusted with a Bugatti Veyron or Pagani Zonda. Fortunately for owners of the most expensive cars in the world, Gurcharn Sahota of Elite Detailing offers the most expensive car wash in the world.

Sahota’s premium detailing process begins with a thorough wash using pH neutral shampoo and citrus degreasers, as well as clay bars to remove tarry substances. He then uses an electric scanner and ultra-fine sandpaper to remove even the most miniscule scratches in the paint before applying a Brazilian wax that costs over $12,000 per can. The entire process can take as long as 4 weeks and costs over $10,000.

Incredibly, Sahota runs Elite Detailing out of his parents’ house outside of Derby, England, where he has converted their garage into a workshop complete with a pit and special tiles imported from Italy.

The world’s most expensive pudding

Many people these count their calories when having a pudding, an ice cream, or for that matter any sweet dish. But I bring to you some sweet things that will make you count your cash, maybe your bank balance! I present to you, £630 Grand Opulence Sundae and the unbelievable £15,730 Frrrozen Haute Chocolate. Yes that is right. For the amount one would pay for the Haute Chocolate, one could actually buy so many things. Maybe even a car!

The people at New York’s famous Serendipity 3 restaurant get the credit for created this very pricy treat, and not surprisingly, it has booked a place for itself in the Guinness for being the most expensive puddings in the world. The question bothering you at this moment would be that what makes this pudding so very expensive? Well it is made of gold, that’s why. Yes, for real! Each Frrrozen Haute Chocolate contains 24 carat edible Swiss gold and is lined with 23 carat edible gold leaves.

Apart from the gold, these deserts also have some very exotic and expensive ingredients that further add to the price. Just in case so you know and might have loads of cash and a sweet tooth, you would have to order atleast two days in advance for these delectable treats.

Most expensive cigar

Gurkha His Majesty’s Reserve (HMR) holds the title of “world’s most expensive cigar ever made." If you are looking for the absolute best, this is it.

For years, Gurkha has been known as the "Rolls Royce" of the cigar industry. Its reputation stems from unique blends of rare tobaccos hand crafted by the world’s foremost rollers. 'His Majesty’s Reserve' is no exception, made from the most expensive cognac and premium tobacco. HMR starts with a rare aged Dominican wrapper that covers a secret blend of filler tobaccos from all over the world. Once the cigars are rolled, they then undergo a unique infusion process that involves an entire bottle of Louis XIII Cognac. This infusion process is very unique in that it does not take away from the tobacco flavor of the aged leaves, but rather complements them in grand fashion.

Fewer than 100 boxes of HMR are produced every year and the allocation of these rare gems is decided by Gurkha President Kaizad Hansotia. Cigar.com is proud to be one of the world’s only authorized dealers to sell this landmark cigar. There is no finer cigar, blend, packaging, or tobacco in the world. There are few blends, if any, that could lay claim to being finer.

Most Expensive Car in the World

If your passion for performance and luxury autos cannot be stopped, and your McLaren F1 is becoming a bore along with the rest of your exotic cars, it might be time to check out Top Gear’s “Car of the Decade,” the Bugatti Veyron. The most recent model, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, has an estimated price tag of $2.3 million and, if that figure is even close to the ultimate price, will be the most expensive car in the world.

The Super Sport, unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August 2010, is not your typical luxury car. Its W16 engine—essentially two narrow-angle V8s sharing a crankshaft—with four turbochargers generates 1,200 hp and, along with improved aerodynamics over the original Veyron, allows it to reach a top speed of 268 miles per hour. That makes the Super Sport the fastest production car in the world.

The original Bugatti Veyron 16.4, which entered production in 2005, hits 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, does the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds and reaches its top speed of 252 mph in just 55 secs. It came after a long absence from the market for Bugatti and helped the brand reclaim its title as the ultimate performance car and reign supreme as the world’s most expensive production car.

The Veyron is named after Pierre Veyron, who won the 1939 24 Hours of Le Mans while driving a Bugatti Type 57 with Jean-Pierre Wimille.

Most Expensive iPhone App

The most expensive iPhone app ever sold was one aptly called “I Am Rich”—one of the first apps to be offered on iTunes. It consisted of a small icon with the subtext “I Am Rich.” Clicking on the icon would fill the screen with a large, ruby red gem on a red and black background. The purpose of this app, as stated in the product description, was to let your friends and acquaintances know that you have a whole lot of money. It also included what the developer, Armin Heinrich, called a “secret mantra” that you could use to stay rich and healthy.

The price for I Am Rich was set at $999.99 before it was pulled from the App Store.

The problem, of course, is that of the eight people who purchased I Am Rich, at least one only clicked “buy” to see what would happen. Imagine his dismay when he discovered that his wife had enabled one-click purchasing (or so he said) and he had just spent $1000 on what he’d thought was a gag.

So Apple pulled the plug on I Am Rich, ending its brief career as the world’s most expensive iPhone app.

Of course, that left room for a new most expensive app—and Lextech Labs were more than happy to fill the void. Rather than sell an app whose sole purpose was to cost a bucketload of cash, though, Lextech Labs’ iRa Pro actually does something.

Intended for security professionals who need to maintain unlimited mobility, Ira Pro allows users to monitor IP-based surveillance equipment. The app interfaces with a video management server to provide that extra sense of security that comes from knowing that you can always check in on whatever it is you’re protecting. I imagine this will be quite popular in casinos.

The most expensive iPhone app on the market sells for $899.99. Another version of iRa, iRa Direct, costs significantly less at $499.99 but only allows direct interface with the cameras rather than a video management server.
